SPONSORED CYCLE RIDE TO TURKEY
Lizzie Jones and her boyfriend Ed Nicholson have both been supporters of The Kanji Project for over 10 years. Together they are going to cycle from Shepherds Bush in London to Istanbul in Turkey to raise money for The Kanji Project.
They head off on 3rd April 2011 and hopefully will be arriving in Istanbull around 20th June. They will be going through France, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria before getting to Turkey. They will be taking a tent and camping overnight on route!
Ed states 'There are two of us going on the trans-europe extreme one-athlon. We expect the biggest challenge to be moving the bikes once they are fully loaded with our camping gear and Lizzie's hair straighteners. Although the route is 2,500 miles we will cover at least 3,000 factoring in our limited navigational skills.'
