FURTHER EDUCATION

St. Antony's School educates children up to 10th Standard (age 16). All students that have left after taking the Government examinations have passed with high marks. All students have either gone on to take further education in other schools or on to training schemes. Wherever possible, if the families of the students can not afford to pay for the further education, The Kanji Project is helping with some funding.

The equivalent qualification to our 'A' levels, is the examination taken at the end of Plus 1 and Plus 2 standards. This has to be undertaken in other schools as St. Antony's currently does not have the space or facilities.

Some of the older girls from Shanthi Lumine children's home are studying nursing in Tiruvannamalai while other school leavers are training as engineers and motor mechanics, and another as a teacher.
