WELCOME TO THE KANJI PROJECT WEB SITE
The Kanji Project is a small UK registered charity which aims to advance education and relieve poverty in India. The current projects are based around the rural village of Kanji in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India.
The charity is run entirely by volunteers. Money is raised to support the Shanthi Lumin children's home,
St Antony's School, a craft centre, and to provide help to the poorest families in the villages around Kanji.
We value every penny that we raise and keep our costs to the minimum (less than 5% in 2010) as we know that those pennies make a difference to the children and poor families around Kanji. The charity works in partnership with St Antony’s Foundlings in India, which manages and controls the operational work of the charity on mutually agreed projects.
